Places to go in Montreal? Money exchange?

Me and a few of my friends are driving up to Montreal for 4 days, 3 nights...we were planning on staying in the Maritime..how much money should i bring with me and where do i get it changed? and does anyone know of some good bars & things to do in montreal?? it would be a huge help :)
