Period and Spotting help please?

So.. My cycle is random but usually around 38-42 days. I usually get sore around 3-4 days before my period actually begins and then the soreness goes away on the day that my period starts. I'm currently on day 41 and have had sore s since day 29 so almost 2 weeks! They did get less sore around days 35 and 36 so I thought my period was coming but it didn't.. Just yesterday I had some very light pink discharge so again I thought my period would follow but in taking out my tampon last night there was only a couple of spots of light pink.. I put another tampon in just in case and then this morning when taking it out there was only a small amount of light brown and light pink on it.. Not even enough to soak in and it seems to be mixed with clearish discharge also.. The only other thing I could mention is that Hubby and I have been having unprotected for over a year as we have been told by the doctors that his sperm count is low and that his sperm has low motility. This has never happened to me before so I'm trying to gather opinions on what's going on.. Any ideas?
